JAMES A. APSEY Jackson Citizen Patriot (MI) — Wednesday, January 4, 2012 Age 67, of Albion passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Allegiance Health Systems in Jackson, Michigan. He was born in 1944 to Kenneth and June Apsey in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1976 he married Robynne Gage who survives. James worked at Polly's in the bakery for several years. Owned Apsey Bake Shop in Albion, managed the Ken Junes Dawn Donuts Ball Team, especially loved the U of M sports, his fish pond, and being out of doors along with games of chance. James is survived by: Wife, Robynne Apsey of Albion; Daughters; Janis Ortiz of Jeanette (David) West of Onondaga; Marilyn Apsey of Jackson; Son, Phillip Apsey of Battle Creek; (19) Grandchildren; (1) Great Grandchild; Sisters, Judy Gibson of California; Sue Mees of Jackson; Brother, Kenneth Apsey of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts & uncles. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 5:00- 8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive,Albion,Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David McClintic officiating.
