Lillian VandeByl, aged 93, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, November 4, 2007. Surviving are her children, Barbara and Gordon Longstreet; grandchildren, David and Gwen Longstreet, Roberta and Dennis Hahn, Patricia and Tom Rodenhouse, Susan Ditmar, William Ditmar, Tim West, Ruthann "Peach" Bartlett; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia and William VandeByl; sister-in-law, Winifred Cavanaugh; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerritt W. VandeByl, daughter, Geraldine Collier and a grandson, Gordon L. Longstreet. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 8 at the Ofield Funeral Chapel with Reverend David Struyk officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
