of St. Ignace was a military veteran who served in the United States Marines from 1954 to 1956, during the Korean War.

Mr. Huskey died at the age of 71 Sunday, August 21, 2005, after a bout with cancer.

Mr. Huskey married Marcia K. Roetman September 20, 1952, and they had eight children. She survives him.

He is also survived by seven children and their families, Richard E. and Mary Huskey Jr. of St. Ignace, Bambi and Philip Robinson of St. Ignace, Tamara R. and Randy Bajanen of Escanaba, Cindy K. and Ronald Rickley Sr. of St. Ignace, Lori A. and Gerald Riley of St. Ignace, Gale L. and Calvin McLean of St. Ignace, and Scott A. and Virginia Huskey of St. Ignace; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Midge Gillespie of St. Ignace, and two brothers, Randy and Wayne Huskey, both of St. Ignace.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Huskey; his parents, Herman and Elsie Huskey; a brother, Arthur Huskey, and a sister, Elsie Harris.

A celebration of Mr. Huskey’s life will be Sunday, August 28, at the St. Ignace Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
